The Early Childhood Diploma (3–6) is currently offered as a full-time programme. During the Academic Phase (September to December), candidates are required to be physically present at the Centre from Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Because of the full-time schedule (Mon–Thu, 8am – 2pm) and the rigorous requirements for album preparation, it is difficult to maintain standard employment during the Academic Phase. Applicants must demonstrate the capacity to commit fully to the programme.
The programme runs for one academic year, from September to July. It is divided into two phases:
No. The programme is delivered fully in-person. Montessori teacher education is hands-on and requires direct, sustained engagement with the materials and the prepared environment.
As this is a Post-Graduate Diploma, applicants are required to hold a university degree or its equivalent (including HND or NCE). Beyond academic qualifications, we look for intellectual readiness, professional discipline, and a genuine interest in child development.
To ensure a complete application, you must submit:
No. Prior Montessori training or teaching experience is not required. We are prepared to guide you from the foundation up.
Transparency is important to us. The financial commitment includes:
Yes. The Programme Fee can be spread across a maximum of four (4) installments. Any proposal exceeding four payments must be discussed directly with the Programme Director during your interview.
Yes. Candidates should budget approximately 10–15% of the Programme Fee for personal resources. This includes books, printing, folders for album preparation, and material-making supplies.
Assessment is continuous. It includes written assignments, observation records, material making, and the creation of detailed teaching manuals (Albums) for every curriculum area. In July, candidates sit for formal examinations consisting of both written and oral (practical) components.
The Early Childhood Diploma is accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE). This indicates that our programme meets internationally recognised standards. For you, this provides assurance of quality and ensures your professional credentials are respected globally.
RMMC does not provide direct job placement services. However, our graduates are highly sought after, and we regularly share relevant recruitment opportunities from the wider Montessori community with our alumni.
