Our Consultancy Areas

1.

The Prepared Environment

We assist both new and existing schools in planning and organising Montessori classroom environments, including classroom layout, material selection, and the careful sequencing of materials. We can also advise on sourcing Montessori materials and key reference books for the classroom and school library. Our guidance helps ensure the environment supports the child’s independence and reflects the developmental logic of the Montessori method.

2.

Montessori Programme Review

We work with existing schools to review and strengthen their Montessori programmes. This may include examining classroom practice, observation procedures, staff roles, and key working documents such as curriculum guides and programme documentation. We may also review how the school engages parents, including communication, feedback, and opportunities for parent education. The aim is to help schools align their daily practice more closely with Montessori principles and strengthen the consistency of their practice.

3.

Assistant Orientation & Staff Development

We offer orientation sessions for classroom assistants and school staff to help them understand the structure of the Montessori environment and the role of the adult within it. These sessions introduce the principles that guide Montessori practice, including observation, respect for the child’s independence, and the responsibilities of adults working within a prepared environment.

While such orientation can strengthen a school’s practice, RMMC strongly encourages schools to invest in the full professional preparation of their teachers through an accredited Montessori diploma programme.

4.

Montessori Guidance for Care Institutions

RMMC provides consultancy for organisations that prepare domestic caregivers and household staff who work in family homes.

This work includes guiding such organisations in incorporating key Montessori principles into the preparation of caregivers, particularly those that support the child’s independence, dignity, and participation in daily life, as well as the importance of order, routine, and careful observation of the child.

Such guidance ensures that the caregivers these organisations prepare are able to support young children in ways that are consistent with Montessori principles.

5.

Montessori at Home

Are you a new parent, or a parent of young children who wishes to understand your child’s development more deeply from the beginning?

RMMC offers guidance for parents who would like to bring Montessori principles into daily life at home. This may include establishing thoughtful routines, supporting the child’s growing independence in everyday activities, and preparing a home environment that respects the child’s developmental needs.

6.

Parent Education

RMMC offers talks and seminars for schools, parent groups, and educational organisations seeking to deepen their understanding of Montessori principles and the development of the child. These sessions are typically organised by schools or institutions that wish to introduce parents to the Montessori approach and strengthen their understanding of the child.
